Electric cars are becoming more popular in Vietnam as people look for eco-friendly and cost-effective options. One story that stands out is from Mr. Nguyen Cong Hoan, who lives in Hanoi and switched to an electric car about a year ago. He chose the VinFast VF 5 Plus, finding it to be the best option in its price range.

“I had a VinFast Fadil before, but I wanted a car with more space without spending too much,” said Mr. Hoan. “After comparing different models, I decided the VF 5 Plus was the best choice, and I was excited to try driving an electric car.” He test-drove the car at a showroom and was impressed. “In my price range, no car feels as good to drive as the VF 5 Plus.”

A Year of Satisfaction

After driving the VF 5 Plus for over a year, Mr. Hoan is still happy with his choice. “The car is perfect for me and my family’s needs,” he shared. He believes the car’s features are worth the cost, around 500 million VND, and provide a good level of comfort and functionality.

Performance Highlights: Instant Acceleration

Mr. Hoan’s favorite part about the VF 5 Plus is how it drives. “The best thing is the acceleration. Electric cars respond immediately when you press the pedal, unlike gasoline cars that have a slight delay,” he said. This quick response makes driving more enjoyable. Plus, electric cars don’t have gearboxes, so the ride is smoother without the jerking motions of shifting gears.

Cost-Effectiveness of the VF 5 Plus

Another major benefit for Mr. Hoan is how affordable it is to run the car. “I bought the battery outright, so I don’t have to pay rental fees. VinFast also offers free charging for a year, so I don’t spend any money on charging. I even get free parking in Vingroup locations,” he said. All of this makes the VF 5 Plus cheaper to operate than a gasoline car.

Lower Maintenance Costs

Maintenance has also been cheaper than expected. “The last time I had the car serviced, at 12,000 km, it only cost 388,000 VND. That’s even less than I used to pay for my motorbike,” Mr. Hoan said. This shows that electric cars can be more affordable to maintain than traditional cars.

Conclusion

Mr. Hoan’s experience shows why more Vietnamese drivers are choosing electric cars like the VinFast VF 5 Plus. With great driving performance, lower costs, and overall satisfaction after a year of use, electric cars are proving to be a smart choice in Vietnam.
